Loukas is an engineer and deputy technical director of the Pathway to Clean Indoor Air (PCIA) project at the Burnet Institute, whose work sits at the intersection of building science, public health, and IAQ. Holding a Master of Engineering (Biomedical), Loukas is currently undertaking a PhD on the engineering implementation of indoor air quality solutions at scale, with a focus on how evidence-based ventilation and exposure guidelines can be operationalised across diverse built environments. His work bridges engineering, public health, and policy to drive measurable improvements in indoor air quality and to shape the regulatory frameworks that govern it.
