Walls need to drain, and dry if they get wet. They can dry inwards, they can dry outwards…and it is best if they dry without air flow…air movement.. Diffusion should rule and be coupled with controlling the temperature of condensing surfaces. Vapor barriers in the wrong place are a disaster…in the right place they can save assemblies from the misbehavior of occupants and from the effect of climate…
